I'm Akshay from OpenxAI Labs in New York. We're building Own 1 a dedicated computer for running AI agents completely locally.

Smolagents' lightweight footprint is a perfect fit for our hardware — we want to ship it as the default lightweight agent runtime on Own 1 so users can run fast, capable agents without heavy overhead.
