Applet for FLIR Lepton thermal camera module

I would like an applet for controlling and capturing data from FLIR Lepton thermal camera modules. The interface is fairly straightforward (I2C-ish for control, SPI-ish for frames) but I don't have the experience to write this myself.

I've converted this to a Discussion since we do not take applet requests via the issue tracker (there is absolutely no bandwidth to do so). Perhaps asking on IRC/Matrix would yield someone willing to do the work.

@icb- for future reference, is there a publicly available interface description? I'm mildly curious to see it (absolutely no guarantee about outcomes, though)

Sorry, I didn't intend to cause any problems.

The public datasheet describes the control interface and commands, and video interface and formatting.
