Default theme does not look good on my site how to change it?

Hi there,

I didn't understand how to install a new theme or write a new one, just curious why the friends page can't use the current installed theme and not invent its own? I saw no option to do that, seems like that's something missing as I can select "Main Theme" in blocks but that does nothing, "Main Theme" can't be selected for the Main View, there is only one option for that which is the "Default Friends View" which badly clashes with my background, it looks horrible (a dark theme).

Which theme are you using? On the Friends backend there is some effort made to dequeue any frontend theme css to avoid exactly that interference. Also the next version will ship a dark mode.
Could you open developer tools and check in the network tab when loading the /friends/ page and activate the CSS filter and see which files are loaded:

Maybe you can identify a css that belongs to your theme, then the full path would be useful that you can see here:

Please check out the 4.0 release which ships some new themes including a block theme!
