LitZentrum ist eine lokale Desktop-App für wissenschaftliche Literaturarbeit. Die Anwendung organisiert Quellen in normalen Projektordnern, zeigt Metadaten, Notizen, Zitate, Aufgaben und Zusammenfassungen an und unterstützt den Export von BibTeX sowie einen redigierten Companion-Export für mobile Browser.

Was LitZentrum kann:

  • ordnerbasierte Literaturverwaltung ohne Datenbank-Zwang
  • PDF-Integration mit Vorschau, Textextraktion und projektbezogenen Quellenordnern
  • Notizen, Zitate, Aufgaben und Zusammenfassungen direkt pro Quelle
  • BibTeX-Export für wissenschaftliche Schreibworkflows
  • read-only Companion-Export litzentrum-library-v1.json für Web/PWA-Nutzung
  • optionale lokale KI-Unterstützung über Ollama, ohne Cloud-Pflicht
  • Offline-First: Literaturprojekte bleiben im Nutzerordner

Für wen ist LitZentrum gedacht?

  • Studierende, Forschende und Wissensarbeiter
  • Nutzer mit lokalen Literaturordnern statt geschlossener Cloud-Silos
  • Menschen, die Metadaten, Zitate und Aufgaben mobil nachschlagen wollen, ohne ihre PDFs oder kompletten Projektordner hochzuladen

Warum kein Webdienst?

LitZentrum ist bewusst lokal aufgebaut. Die Desktop-App betreibt keinen zentralen Cloud-Dienst und lädt Literaturprojekte nicht automatisch auf einen Server hoch. Der mobile Pfad läuft über einen redigierten Companion-Export statt über einen Online-Accountzwang.

Lizenz- und Open-Source-Hinweis

LitZentrum wird als kostenloser Open-Source-Store-Kandidat vorbereitet. Das Projekt steht unter AGPL-3.0. PDF-Workflows über PyMuPDF bleiben deshalb im offengelegten AGPL-Kontext und werden in Repository, Datenschutzdokumentation und späterer Drittanbieter-Lizenzübersicht sichtbar dokumentiert.

Für die Einreichung liegt jetzt ein reproduzierbares Viererset unter README/screenshots/store/ vor:

  1. Projektübersicht mit Quellenliste und Detailbereich
  2. Zitat- oder Notizworkflow mit wissenschaftlichem Kontext
  3. BibTeX-Export oder Aufgabenansicht
  4. Companion-Export oder mobile Companion-Ansicht

Zusätzlich dokumentiert summary.json die erzeugten Artefakte maschinenlesbar.

Local literature manager with PDF workflows, citation help, BibTeX export, and companion export.

LitZentrum is a local desktop application for academic literature work. It organizes sources in normal project folders, displays metadata, notes, quotes, tasks, and summaries, and supports BibTeX export plus a redacted companion bundle for mobile browsers.

What LitZentrum does:

  • folder-based literature management without a forced cloud database
  • PDF integration with preview, text extraction, and per-source project folders
  • notes, quotes, tasks, and summaries directly attached to each source
  • BibTeX export for academic writing workflows
  • read-only companion export litzentrum-library-v1.json for Web/PWA readers
  • optional local AI assistance through Ollama without a cloud requirement
  • offline-first: research projects stay in the user's own folders

Who is LitZentrum for?

  • students, researchers, and knowledge workers
  • users who prefer local project folders over closed cloud silos
  • people who want to review metadata, quotes, and tasks on mobile without uploading PDFs or entire project folders

Why not a web service?

LitZentrum is intentionally local-first. The desktop app does not run a central cloud service and does not automatically upload literature projects to a server. The mobile path is based on a redacted companion export rather than an online account requirement.

License and open-source note

LitZentrum is being prepared as a free open-source Windows Store candidate. The project is licensed under AGPL-3.0. PDF workflows via PyMuPDF therefore remain in the disclosed AGPL context and are documented in the repository, privacy policy, and later third-party license summary.
