Linux, Wayland: v0.3.3 AppImage crashes with EGL_BAD_PARAMETER

Hi there,

I just started using Restic and Restic-Browser, thanks for this!
I successfully used the AppImage on Debian and Windows, however v0.3.3 crashes on OpenSuse Leap 16.0:

$ ./Restic-Browser.AppImage 
Could not create default EGL display: EGL_BAD_PARAMETER. Aborting...

I'm running Wayland:

$ echo $WAYLAND_DISPLAY 
wayland-0

Interestingly, the AppImage v0.3.2 does run without issue however.

That's a known Tauri issue. Maybe some of the workarounds mentioned here work for you?

Does the same happen when launching the plain Linux ResticBrowser binary instead of the app image?

It's a known Tauri issue that per tauri-apps/tauri#11994 has been known for more than a year; there's an experimental branch with a workaround available there at tauri-apps/tauri#12491

Hit this with Fedora 43 (KDE), can confirm that the binary of v0.3.3 works fine, on Fedora you do need to install webkit2gtk, which can be done with.

sudo dnf install webkit2gtk4.1
