"Force Status" does not work

• I have searched the existing open and closed issues and I checked the docs https://docs.netalertx.com/

The issue occurs in the following browsers. Select at least 2.

• Firefox
• Chrome
• Edge
• Safari (unsupported) - PRs welcome
• N/A - This is an issue with the backend

Current Behavior

The "Force Status" option does not forcing status.
I have a dummy devices with forced status online but they appear as "Flapping" and devices behind them appears down.

Expected Behavior

"Force Status" to "online" really makes device's status online.

Hi,

If the device was unstable (Flapping) it might take 1h to stabilize to show online after you force the status.

Let me know if the status doesn't change with the next few hours and I will have a closer look.

The Flapping status is there almost from the beginning from setting the "Force Status: online", now it's been a few days.

Humm, interesting. Please share which plugins you have enabled and their schedules.

Also provide a screenshot from the device Events tab.

Thanks for that. I was able to reproduce the issue.

This should be available/fixed in the next release.
It would be great if you could test the ghcr.io/netalertx/netalertx-dev Docker image in ~15 minutes (or once the latest GitHub Action finishes).

⚠️ Please back up everything first, or ideally spin up a separate container with its own DB and config (a copy of your current setup), as database changes may occur.

After updating:

• Click the 🔄 refresh button in the blue header at the top
• Hard refresh your browser cache (shift + reload) to force js and css files reload

Disclaimer: Running the dev container long-term may lead to data loss, as upgrade paths are not guaranteed.

The events stopped from update, but the status is still "Flapping":

Even if according to config it should be "Online":

This will take 1h for the stat's to reflect a stable online state

You are right, after a hour the device changed status to online.
