System Settings freezes when opening InputActions config; gesture-record overlay stuck

After installing inputactions-kwin and enabling the effect in Desktop Effects, clicking configure freezes the system settings. The gesture-record overlay also stays stuck on screen and I have to kill systemsettings to recover. Cannot configure any gestures via the UI.

System:

• Arch Linux (rolling, up to date)
• KDE Plasma on Wayland
• inputactions-kwin from AUR
• Apple Magic Trackpad
