Terms of Service & Legal Disclaimers

By accessing or using the Xenohuru platform (the "Service"), including the website, API, and any associated services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Xenohuru is an open-source platform that provides:

  • Information about tourist attractions in Tanzania
  • GPS coordinates and location data
  • Weather information (current and historical)
  • Difficulty ratings for activities
  • Seasonal planning guidance
  • Access to tour operator information

The Service is provided for informational and planning purposes only.

3. Important Disclaimers

3.1 No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy of information
  • Reliability of data
  • Uninterrupted access

3.2 Information Accuracy

Weather Information:

  • Weather data is sourced from third-party APIs (Open-Meteo)
  • Current weather is for planning purposes only
  • Historical weather represents past patterns, not future guarantees
  • Seasonal information is based on historical averages
  • Weather can change rapidly and unpredictably
  • ALWAYS verify current conditions before travel

Attraction Information:

  • Information is crowd-sourced and may be incomplete or outdated
  • We make reasonable efforts to verify submissions
  • However, we cannot guarantee accuracy at all times
  • Conditions at attractions can change without notice
  • ALWAYS verify with local authorities or tour operators

Difficulty Ratings:

  • Difficulty ratings are subjective estimates
  • Individual fitness levels, experience, and conditions vary
  • What is "moderate" for one person may be "difficult" for another
  • Consult professional guides before attempting challenging activities

3.3 No Professional Advice

This Service does NOT provide:

  • Medical advice or recommendations
  • Professional travel planning services
  • Safety certifications or guarantees
  • Emergency response services
  • Insurance coverage

You must:

5. User Responsibilities

    • Sublicense content as part of the Service

  • We do not verify operator credentials, licenses, or safety records
  • YOU are responsible for vetting tour operators
  • We are not liable for services provided by tour operators

7.3 External Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites.

  • We do not control external sites
  • We are not responsible for their content or practices
  • Access external links at your own risk

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
