Your search results are full of AI generated content. ChatGPT answers dominate Google. Gemini summaries block real websites. AI written articles rank higher than pages written by real people. Slopless fixes that.
Slopless is a free browser extension and web tool that filters your search results to show content from before November 30, 2022, the day ChatGPT launched publicly. Everything you see is written by a human. No AI slop. No hallucinated answers. No content farm articles generated by bots.
Slopless gives you a time machine for the internet. You pick a year. You pick a search engine. You get results from that year or earlier.
It works with 7 search engines:
- DuckDuckGo
- Quora
- Stack Exchange
- YouTube
The extension also has three optional features you toggle on or off:
- AI Overview Hider: Removes Google's Gemini and SGE summary cards so you see real links first.
- Verified Human Badges: Adds a gold badge next to search results that are confirmed pre-2022.
- Right Click Context Search: Highlight any text on any website, right click, and search the human era instantly.
- Download the ZIP from this repository (green "Code" button, then "Download ZIP").
- Extract the ZIP to a folder on your computer.
- Open chrome://extensions in Chrome (or edge://extensions in Edge, or brave://extensions in Brave).
- Turn on "Developer mode" in the top right corner.
- Click "Load unpacked" in the top left.
- Select the extracted folder. Done. Slopless is now active.
- Click the puzzle icon in your toolbar and pin Slopless for quick access.
You do not need to install anything. Go to the Slopless website, pick your year, type your search, and hit Scan. The web tool does the same thing the extension does. It works on any device, any browser, any operating system.
The internet changed on November 30, 2022. Before that date, every article, every forum post, every answer on Stack Overflow was written by a person who put thought into it. After that date, a flood of AI generated content hit every platform. Google results filled up with AI written blog posts. Reddit got flooded with bot comments. Stack Overflow answers started being copy-pasted from ChatGPT.
Slopless brings back the internet that existed before all of that. You get the same Google, the same Reddit, the same YouTube, but with a hard date filter that keeps AI content out.
Researchers who need reliable, human-verified information. Developers who want Stack Overflow answers written by people who actually debugged the problem. Students who need sources they can trust. Writers who want to read content that was not generated by a language model. Anyone who misses the internet from 2019.
Works on all Chromium-based browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Brave
- Opera
- Vivaldi
Also works on Firefox (Manifest V3 compatible).
