The CI failures seem to be other dependencies and not related to the changes I have made, I would imagine this might be a blocker for the Owners to merge this. If anyone can help with he CI failures, that might help this get merged. |

Attempted to update Firebase to resolve a serious Crash within the Google closed source Performance libraries.
P.S. It appears that there is a 5.12 release that was not finalised at the time of merging in the latest so this may already be out of date.
