Closing — replacing this PR with a direct dismissal of alerts #180 and #181 as not_used. Same rationale as #1272: transformers.Trainer (the GHSA-69w3-r845-3855 surface) is never imported in our Python tree. The proposed bump to 5.0.0rc3 is a pre-release with broken CI.
